I know nobody really reads or posts here anymore, but I figure that some sort of post-TCIF discussion should get ensconced here.

Read Butch's last two posts about the Festival on his MySpace Blog. Comment there, or bring discussion over here.

I'll say this: the Festival was a hell of a lot of fun. Most fun I've had at a Festival. Great audience turnout, great interaction of groups, great party, great sets by "home & away" teams.

Congratulations to Butch, Jill, Lauren, Hetz, Lipkin, Andy, the Workshop (including the awesome front of house staff -- which I would be saying even without a massive conflict of interests) and the Minneapolis improv community at-large. It was a blast and I'm really looking forward to future festivals.

Lastly, Huge's set last night was one of the tightest, most rewarding improv sets I've ever watched, and a great cap to the Festival that preceded it. If I were coaching, I'd use that set as a teaching aid. Well met, Huge. Well met.

I learned a lot, made some mistakes. I know what I need to do now to do it better. I'm going to try to remember the good things that happened. I'm sure I'll be able to say more later once I'm done crying and sleeping.

Everyone loved it and had a great time. That's what's important.

Thanks for your kind words, Fred.

I'm relieved it's over.

As they say in the business, "Christmas was too much for little Jill"

I just wanted to thank everyone for putting on the festival. Everyone from Radar 7 was impressed with the audience, facilities and committment of the organizers. The only regret is that we weren't able to do more stuff.
Thanks again,
Andy

reminder to everyone:

START TAPING YOUR SETS.
we heard from plenty of people last time around that just didn't have a set on tape. there is plenty of time between now and this winter to get a good set on tape.

It is pure white.

This was one of the finest fests I've been to. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Five Man and Jill did one heck of a job putting the TCIF together. I can't wait for next year.

right now we're looking at the festival as a dog distracted by an imaginary tennis ball. we've bought ourselves a couple seconds of peace until the stupid thing comes back and slobbers all over us.
